Note: This garment is 100% natural cotton. It is not pre-shrunk, so we have given an allowance for shrinkage. It is normal to have a 5% to 10% shrinkage.
Fabric Care Instructions
1. Laundry Tips- Wash in cold or warm water (less than 30°C) using a gentle cycle to prevent shrinkage and preserve the fabric’s durability.
- Use a mild detergent that is free of bleach or harsh chemicals.
- If possible, hand wash the canvas fabric to maintain its structure.
- Do not use bleach, as it can weaken the fiber and cause discolouration.
- If necessary, use a colour-safe bleach alternative.
3. Softener
- Use fabric softener sparingly, as excessive use can soften the fabric too much and reduce its sturdiness.
- Consider skipping softener to maintain the canvas’s natural texture.
4. Pilling Prevention
- Wash with similar heavy fabrics to reduce friction and prevent piling.
- Consider using a fabric shaver or pilling comb if pilling occurs.
- Avoid overloading the washing machine, as this can cause excessive wear on the fabric.
5. Minimising Wrinkles
- Remove the shirt promptly from the washer and shake it out before drying.
- For best results, tumble dry on low heat or hang to air dry to minimise shrinkage and wrinkles.
- Iron on a low to medium (max 150°C) setting while the fabric is slightly damp, or use a steamer for a crisp finish.
